Privacy Policy

This site (taxresidencyexit.com) sells the California Tax Residency Course and is operated by Learn State Tax LLC, 906 W. McDermott Dr., Ste 116-107, Allen, TX 75013. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. Questions? Write to info@learnstatetax.com.

Information we collect

• Purchase information. When you buy the course, Stripe, our payment processor, collects your email address, name, billing details and payment card information. We never see or store your full card number. We receive and keep your email address, the payment reference numbers, and the date of your purchase.
• Course activity. We save which course modules you have watched and where you stopped, so you can pick up where you left off.
• Technical and visit information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes visitors' IP addresses and basic request data to deliver and protect the site. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, pages viewed, referring sites and countries. It does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors.
• Messages. If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply.

How we use it

We use your information to process your payment, give you access to the course, email you your access link, save your progress, provide support, process refunds, and keep the site secure. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles your information

• Stripe processes payments (stripe.com/privacy).
• Resend delivers our emails, such as your access link (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy).
• Vimeo hosts and plays our videos (vimeo.com/privacy). We ask Vimeo not to track viewers.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores course records (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).

These companies act on our behalf and handle your information under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use one cookie, and it is essential to the site. After you purchase or use your access link, we set a sign-in cookie so the course opens without asking you to log in again. It lasts one year or until you log out. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or tracking pixels, so there are no cookie choices to make. If you block this cookie, you will not be able to open the course.

Do Not Track

We do not track you across other websites, and we do not allow third parties to collect information about your browsing here for advertising. For that reason, we do not change how the site behaves in response to Do Not Track signals.

How long we keep information

Your access lasts one year from purchase. We keep your purchase record and course progress for that time, and for a reasonable period afterward for support and our business records. If you are refunded, your access ends and we remove your access record. Payment and tax records are kept by Stripe and by us as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to info@learnstatetax.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as the law requires. Deleting your record ends your access to the course.

Security

Payments are handled by Stripe. Access links and sign-in cookies are digitally signed, and our records are stored with Cloudflare. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. Please keep your access link private, because anyone who has it can open the course.

Children

This course is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
